KEITH D. OBERT (Bachelor of Science in Accounting - University of Alabama - 1984; Juris Doctorate - University of Mississippi - 1988)
Mr. Obert is a Talladega, Alabama native, who grew up in the Memphis, Tennessee and North Mississippi areas. He is the primary litigation attorney for the Firm, practicing in all areas of the Firm’s civil trial and litigation practice. His defense practice is concentrated primarily in the defense of vehicular accidents and premises related claims, products liability, toxic torts, insurance subrogation, insurance agent errors and omissions defense, direct insurance carrier actions, uninsured/underinsured motorist claims and insurance coverage disputes. Keith is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Mississippi, including the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and is also admitted to practice in most State and Federal Courts in both Alabama and Tennessee. He has been a Certified Mediator since 2003 and is a frequent lecturer on Continuing Legal Education topics relating to such areas as civil trial practice, automobile accident litigation, expert witness depositions, insurance and ethics, throughout Mississippi and the Mid-South and Southeastern Regions, including in Little Rock, Arkansas, Birmingham, Alabama, Nashville, Tennessee and Memphis, Tennessee.
Mr. Obert was a member of the Moot Court Board (Competition Chair), Law School Senate (President Pro Tem), Honor Council (Chairman and Chief Prosecutor), and Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity (President) at the University of Mississippi School of Law. Presently, he is a member of the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research and Trial Lawyers Association, the Automobile Law Committee of the Torts and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association, and the Mississippi Claims Association. Keith has served as President, Vice-President and Treasurer of the Jackson Young Lawyers Association. Additionally, Mr. Obert has served as a Director for the Mississippi Bar Association-Young Lawyers Division, as a Director for the Hinds County Bar Association, as Chairman of the Membership Services Committee and as Co-Editor of the Business Law Section Newsletter. He has also served as Chairman of the Public Relations Committee and Nominations and Awards Committees of The Mississippi Bar-YLD. Keith has been selected as a Fellow of the Mississippi Young Lawyers and served as President of the Fellows in 2013-2014. Mr. Obert is listed in Best’s Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys and has been selected by Who’s Who in American Law for several years beginning in 2000-2001. In July, 2001, he was awarded the Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year Award by the Mississippi Bar Association. Mr. Obert received his mediation certification from the University of Mississippi Center for Continuing Legal Education in 2003, and actively mediates dozens of civil litigation matters throughout Mississippi and Tennessee each year. Mr. Obert is rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell. Keith is noted as being in the Top Five Percent (5%) of Professionals, and enjoys a 10/10 rating on AVVO Legal Ratings and Reviews. Mr. Obert has been recognized for the last several years as a SuperLawyer in the publication, Mid-South SuperLawyers, in the area of Personal Injury General-Defense.
WILLIAM F. BROWN

WILLIAM F. BROWN (Bachelor of Arts - Millsaps College - 1987; Juris Doctorate - University of Mississippi - 1990)
Mr. Brown is a native of Vicksburg, Mississippi. While in law school, Mr. Brown was a member of the Moot Court Board, was selected to serve as a Teaching Assistant for the Legal Skills course and received the Whittington Scholarship. Rusty practices in all areas of the Firm’s litigation-based practice. His areas of practice include defense of vehicular accidents, premises related claims, worker’s compensation, products liability and mass torts for both insurance companies and self-insured entities, as well as commercial and business litigation. Rusty is admitted to practice before all State and Federal Courts in Mississippi and United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Rusty is a Certified Mediator, having received his mediation certification from the University of Mississippi Center for Continuing Legal Education in 2006.
Mr. Brown is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, Hinds and Madison County Bar Associations and Mississippi Claims Association. He has previously served as President of the Warren County Young Lawyers Association, Local Affiliate Representative to the Mississippi Bar, Young Lawyers Division, Board of Directors and Chair of the Membership Services Committee and Seminar Committee of the Mississippi Bar, Young Lawyers Division. Rusty has served on the Public Information Committee and Resolutions Committee of the Mississippi Bar and the Law School Relations Committee and Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Young Lawyers Division. Mr. Brown has been invited to speak on a range of trial practice and litigation-related topics at numerous Continuing Legal Education seminars in Mississippi. Additionally, he served on the Board of Directors for North Mississippi Rural Legal Services and was selected as a Barrister in the American Inns of Court III.
